Discord Media Channel

Introducing a brand new channel type - Media. Sharing and engaging with media on Discord, now made easy.

Discord media channel is a central organized space to share, find, and engage with media

Here is how it works!! 😀

Step 1 - Introduction to the media channel

Lets take a look at the media channel here called 'learning stuff'. You can find it on the left side bar.
There are albums inside media channels. Think of them as folders.
You can see four albums in the below image.
Media cannot be added to the root folder of the channel. It has to be added inside an album only.

Step 2 - Adding media

Click on the plus icon at the top right.
It allows youtube video embedding, and upload of videos, images, gifs, and pdf files from your local drive.
Upload files from your local drive.
Or add a youtube link.

Step 3 - Adding media to albums

Media cannot be added direclty to the root folder of the channel.
It is mandatory to add it to an album.
If appropriate album is not present, you can choose the last option to create a new album.
Add appropriate tags for easy search.

Step 4 - Media added. A look inside albums.

The chosen media has been added inside the album 'interview prep'.

Step 5 - Watch videos anytime. Engage in a discussion. Leave reactions and comments
